Who: Lucas R. Tucker has had a love of the outdoors since learning to walk, has been camping since age 6 (or at least that’s as early as he can remember), and has been leading trips since 2000.

What: Hobbies include hiking, camping, rock climbing, rappelling, backpacking, wilderness survival, canoeing, kayaking (sea and open water), fishing, snowboarding, geocaching, land navigation, search and rescue, and mountain biking.

Where: Lucas has led trips in many of the above disciplines as well as been a participant in many more to a variety of locations including Umstead State Park, Jordan Lake State Park, Eno River State Park, Falls Lake State Park, Pilot Mountain State Park, Lake Norman State Park, Merchant Millpond State Park, Hanging Rock State Park, Cliffs of the Neuse State Park, Medoc Mountain State Park, Stone Mountain State Park,Table Rock, Linville Gorge Wilderness, NC, Wayehutta, NC, Tsali National Recreation Area, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Winterplace, WV, Munson Key, FL, Sonoran Desert, AZ.

Certifications: Lucas’s certifications include NC Emergency Medical Responder, DOT first responder, first aid, CPR, NC Rescue Technician, NC Rope Rescue Technician, NC Surface Water Rescue Technician, NC Confined Space Rescue Technician, National Association of Search and Rescue SARTECH II, and PADI Rescue Diver.

Dreams: Lucas still has goals of traveling to Glacier National Park, Yosemite National park, Yellowstone National Park, Mount Rainer National Park, Pattagonia, Kilimanjaro, trekking Hawaiian volcanoes, diving in the Bahamas and Grand Cayman, paddling Cape Lookout National Seashore, Alaska, and the Galapagos Islands.
